Title of Position:                              

Summer Registered Nurse/Bachelor Science Nurse (BSN) – 3 positions available (ECC and MHS)


Work Year:                        

Summer 2021


Effective Dates of Employment:                                 

July 6 - August 5, 2021  Monday - Thursday  

**MHS position also includes two Fridays during Camp Invention Weeeks -July 23 & 30                   


Location/Hours for positions available:

  • ECC: 8:15am - 1:45pm
  • Goodnow: 8:15am - 1:45pm
  • MHS: 7:45am - 1:45pm (except for camp invention weeks July 19-23 and 26-30 which end at 2:30pm)


$210 per day + $35 per hour for onsite time over 6 hours in a day (camp invention)


Organizational Relationship Or Line of Authority:                       

Summer Building Administrator and Assistant Superintendent of Student Services and Equity


Statement of Duties:

  • Promote and maintain optimal physical and emotional health of students
  • Provide first aid and emergency care in injury or illness to school population as documented
  • Notify parents of illness and accidents, which occur during school hours and fill out appropriate accidents form
  • Contirbute postively to maintaining safety in the school   
  • Keep daily log of students seen in health room
  • Maintain health records and document pertinent information
  • Supervise and administer prescribed medication and treatment during school hours
  • Inform teachers and staff regarding medical issues that may affect them
  • Act as a health resource person, have knowledge of community resources, and appropriate referrals
  • Maintain Health Room and assigned equipment and supplies
  • Nurse may be assigned to duties as directed by the Supervisor of Health Services


  • Applicant must possess a current, valid Registered Nurse License issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
