Job Description

Two Rivers Supervisory Union is looking for a dynamic Special Education teacher to work with students in it’s Intensive Needs/Autism Program at Ludlow Elementary School. This is a full time position.

The special educator will work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to meet the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and small group instruction for identified students.
• Maintain records on progress of students to identify difficulties, track progress and justify treatment.
• Possess a working knowledge of Special Education Law, writing Individualized Plans, adapting curriculum, and inclusionary practices.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, special educators, related service providers and families to develop and implement individual or group programs.

    Job Requirements

    • The candidate must hold or be eligible to receive certification as a special educator in Vermont.

      A master’s degree is preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
