Job Description

Making Community Connections Charter School in Manchester, NH is seeking a highly qualified individual for a full-time position as Internship Coordinator/student advisor. Experience working in an educational setting as well as within the larger community, including business, higher-ed, non-profit, and governmental institutions is required. NH Criminal Background check and a clean driving record are also required.

The MC2 Internship Coordinator is responsible for:
• Developing relationships with school and community resources and agencies as needed for a broad range of educational related needs of individual learners.
• Establishing and maintaining a system of records relative to ELOs, including but not limited to community partnerships, mentors, and student work-based learning.
• Ensuring compliance with NH Department of Labor expectations and requirements.
• Ensuring all mentors have records and/or background checks
• Prepare learners for all stages of work-based learning opportunities
• Working to assure the systems, policies, and programs of mentorship are meaningful, progressive, and successful.
• Schedule work-based learning transportation
• Representing MC2 at local business meetings, events, and conventions
• Presenting with MC2 learners at local service organization meetings (Lions, Kiwanis, Rotarians, etc.)
• Working with the MC2 community to research models of career development, mentorship and guidance.
• Fundraising for, planning, and managing the annual Mentor Recognition Dinner.

The MC2 Internship Coordinator shares responsibility with the MC2 Team for:

• Collaborating with others to assist all students in their academic, personal and social development.
• Developing relationships with school and community resources and agencies as may be needed for a broad range of educational, psychological, personal or health related needs of individual students or families.
• Teaching as necessary.
• Mentoring each other and students to maximize achievements consistent with MC2’s vision and philosophy.
• Establishing a school culture built on respect, responsibility, support, and common goals of excellence,
• Developing public outreach and relationships with partners, parents, and sending districts,
• Promoting safety and good health practices by adherence to public codes/regulations and MC2 standards.
• Embedding the MC2 guiding beliefs, vision and mission throughout day-to-day operation of the school.
• Establishing and maintaining discipline in alignment with the MC2 guiding beliefs, vision and mission.
