Special Education Teacher – Long Term Substitute
2019-2020 School Year

WSESU is seeking a long-term substitute for a Special Education teacher at Dummerston School beginning in January through April 2020 to provide case management and direct instruction for students in the upper elementary grades. Applicants must have familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support, experience and skill differentiating academic curriculum, ability to supervise and collaborate with paraeducator staff, proficiency in teaching specialized literacy and math curriculum, competence in using technology to facilitate student communication/learning, and experience implementing positive behavior intervention plans. Knowledge of Vermont special education documentation, regulations, and procedures is essential.

Applicants must be certified (or eligible for certification) as a Special Education Teacher in Vermont. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage/supervise staff, experience in data collection, and proficiency in the Google platform.
