Job Description

Position: Day Camp Assistant Supervisor

Assignment: Assist Day Camp Supervisor in all responsibilities of Day Camp

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Dates: TBD, Monday – Friday 8 am to 4 pm for 6 weeks

Qualifications: Childcare background including teaching experience in a school setting is preferred.
Must be 21 years of age or older. Strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with campers, counselors
and guardians. Strong organizational skills.
Ability to motivate and encourage counselors. If appointed, per state regulation, must have physical done within
the past 2 years and provide documentation to the office.

Duties: Works with Supervisor to schedule activities and field trips for campers.
Fills in for Supervisor as needed. Assists the Supervisor in management of counselors.
Orders food and supplies as needed.
Manages pool area safety. Assists with camper disciplinary issues.
Plans and organizes large group games for campers.
Assists counselors with group activities.
Verify compliance with all state and local regulations.
