Summer Day Camp Job Posting

Position: Day Camp Supervisor

Assignment: Supervision of MCSUP Day Camp personnel and administration of Day Camp

Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour

Dates: TBD, Monday – Friday 8 am to 4 pm for 6 weeks

Qualifications: Childcare background including teaching experience in a school setting is preferred.
At least 2 years strong supervisory and administrative experience.
Must be 21 years of age or older. If appointed, per state regulation, must have physical done within the past 2
years and provide documentation to the office.

Duties: Oversee all summer day camp staff. Collaborate with nurse and other supervisors in all matters.
Organize and coordinate field trips. Oversee approximately 250 campers.
Create daily schedules for each group.
Organize, plan and set up daily activities per group (game of the day).
Discipline campers if necessary.
Communicate with parents.
Plan special activities each week (field trips, field days, Fino Pool, kayaking).
Coordinate transportation for field trips.
Create camper groups by grade and assign counselors.
Create check in and dismissal documents and enforce the pick-up policy.
Supervise lifeguards.
Complete payroll time sheet and submit to the office.
Verify compliance with all state and local regulations.
