Job Description

Academic Coach - Part-Time

The Stern Center for Language and Learning is seeking an academic coach to support high school and college aged students either online or in-person on campus. Professional instructors will teach, guide, and support individual students in the academic arena through research-based practices, and explicit instruction. Coaches will have experience in teaching executive function skills as well as how to support students in college and career by developing/improving their time management, organization, self-advocacy and study habits. Coach will provide up to 6 hours per week of instruction.

The Stern Center Academic Coaching program is designed to help students learn to balance and manage the demands of college reading, writing, studying, and taking tests. Students who want to improve their academic skills meet one-to-one with qualified instructors for customized instruction.

    Job Requirements

    • Current VT teaching license
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
