Job Description

Under the supervision and direction of the special education teacher, the ABA Tutor will:
- Provide direct support of students within an ABA-based program - either 1:1 or shared between 2-3 students in grades 4-6.
- Facilitate inclusion support and assist students with accessing general education curriculum
- Implement behavioral, social and academic programs per students' IEPs / ABA programs
- Collect data; assist in creating graphs, data sheets, materials, visual supports, and activity schedules as needed

Supervision and on-going training will be provided by a special education teacher and BCBA.

This is a salaried school year position (6.75 hours paid per day) for 181 school days. Additional compensation for a 5 week summer program may be available.

    Job Requirements

    • The successful candidate will possess the following:

      Previous training in ABA methodology and behavioral strategies
      At least one year of supervised ABA experience
      Physically able to become certified in CALM non-violent crisis prevention model (training will be provided)
      Eager to learn; strong desire to work with children with autism and/or social-behavioral difficulties

    • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
