Job Description

ACCEPT Collaborative is seeking a behavior specialist to work in the Medway Middle School Program for school students who are unable to make adequate social and emotional progress in traditional classrooms. Our students may experience a range of mental health issues, school adjustment difficulties, inappropriate social functioning and/or poor peer relations. ACCEPT Academy provides an academically challenging curriculum within a structured, nurturing and supportive therapeutic environment to meet the needs of each student. The Academy provides empirically based behavioral interventions that support students and address their maladaptive behaviors impacting their ability to fully access their educational program.

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in education
• BCBA certification
• At least two years relevant experience
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Executive Director may find appropriate and in conformity with state and federal requirements.

REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator
JOB GOAL: To provide behavioral consultation services to staff

• Conduct appropriate formal and informal assessments and interpret results.
• Consult with staff regarding the needs and services of students and families.
• Develop strategies to implement goals and address behavioral issues in the school setting.
• Document and review student progress and review progress reports.
• Consult with teams to develop goals and objectives regarding educational/behavioral needs.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
