Job Description

The Learning Community seeks a skilled part time maintenance worker/cleaning crew Member. Familiarity with school operations a plus but not necessary. Experience is needed in the following areas: Basic carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical knowledge, working with commercial equipment, drywall repairs, painting- interior and exterior, varnish, and ability to fix broken things. The ideal candidate will be a proactive person who is able to work efficiently and independently. The Learning Community is an innovative, urban K-8, warm and welcoming school that believes deeply in the voices of teachers, students and families. The position is afternoons, four hours a day from 3:30pm-8:30pm – with some flexibility and pay rate of $15 an hour. Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining specific areas of the building to ensure a clean welcoming environment each day for students and colleagues.
