The Littleton School Board invites qualified candidates to apply for the Interim position of Superintendent of Schools which could become permanent. The Board seeks candidates with collaborative leadership styles, outstanding communication and problem solving skills, and a steadfast commitment to student growth and achievement. This critical and challenging position requires a dedicated, organized leader of the highest caliber. A proven track record of strong fiscal management skills, team building skills, as well as a systems approach to school management is desired. The successful candidate will understand the necessity of fostering a positive climate and culture throughout the district, and that all stakeholders, including students, families, staff, and community members, are essential partners in education. The Board, ideally, seeks a candidate who is willing to make a long-term commitment to Littleton and its schools.
The Littleton School District, recognized by the New Hampshire Department of Education with the 2015 Commissioner’s Circle of Excellence Award, is dedicated to providing an engaging, personalized, practice based educational experience for its 756 students. A single, five-member school board works closely with the Superintendent to promote a comprehensive education for all children. The Board’s mission is to graduate thoughtful, curious, resilient citizens capable of leading productive and rewarding lives in an ever changing global community. The district includes an elementary school, a combined middle and high school, an alternative education school, an adult education center and a state-of-the-art regional career and technical center. An outstanding faculty and staff of 175 are dedicated to student growth.

Job Requirements
1) Eligible for New Hampshire Superintendent’s License
2) Five years of experience as an education administrator in a K-12 setting
3) Completion of a state board of education approved educational administration collegiate program at the post-master’s certificate of advance graduate study (CAGS), educational specialist, or doctoral level


4) The competencies, skills, and knowledge itemized in NH Ed. 506.01(d) through experience in comparable leadership positions in education or other professions if qualifying under Ed 505.03, Alternative 3: Demonstrated Competencies and Equivalent Experiences.
