Job Description

Job Overview: This 50% salaried position oversees support for students who need evaluations or receive school-day educational support services, specialized instruction, or accommodations. This position requires a degree in education and teaching experience working with differentiated instruction for students that have mild to moderate specific learning disabilities. The position is both administrative and pedagogical. Previous experience with middle school aged children, and an ability to pass a background check required.

Come join an innovative team of faculty who are working to develop new models of teaching that serve the students of the 21st-century. Young people need now, more than ever, the capacities that are at the heart of our mission: creativity, compassion, collaboration, and problem-solving. We recognize that we are called to apply the principles of Waldorf Education afresh for each generation of students.

• The Grade School faculty members are working to develop an anti-bias, anti-racist curriculum where academic and arts studies are intertwined with an explicit intention to bring about social change.

• The Middle School team is committed to further developing an integrated curriculum, team teaching, place-based studies, and immersion experiences.

Our well-established school has been delivering excellent, heart-filled Waldorf education since 1984, expanding over the years to include newborns through high school.

Hours/Week: Part-time (50% FTE)
Compensation: Salaried, exempt, with benefits prorated commensurate with FTE, as outlined in the Personnel Handbook.
Support: The school provides mentors to new teachers and encourages mentoring relationships throughout a teacher’s career.
