Job Description

Major Gifts Officer

The League School of Greater Boston is a year-round program dedicated to the education of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking a Major Gifts Officer to start immediately at our Walpole campus.

This is a part-time consulting opportunity, working 20 hours a week, reporting directly to the Executive Director for the 2019/2020 school year.

Position Requirements and Duties:
• Build and manage a portfolio of 125 – 150 major donors and prospects.
• Effectively identify new prospects from League School – associated individuals, high net worth individuals, and other industry corporations and executives.
• Strategically engage new prospects to determine giving capacity and priorities.
• Research prospects to determine giving capacity and priorities.
• Track moves management and measure progress against goals.
• Oversee personalized gift acknowledgement and work with appropriate staff to coordinate such efforts for consistent and meaningful cultivation and stewardship.
• Produce persuasive major gift proposals that link the donors to meaningful naming opportunities in the school.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of major gifts fundraising experience.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment, motivated by mission and accountability.
• Proven record of securing five- and six figure major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Ability to identify and secure support from new constituencies, utilizing donor prospecting and research.
• Ability to write proposals and articulate a persuasive case for support.
• Stellar communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to travel
