Job Description

The Learning Community, a vibrant public charter school, seeks to hire an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will join our dynamic Admin team and report to an Administrative Manager. This person will provide key leadership to a myriad of tasks and projects essential to the team’s administration. Duties will include back up support to Director of Teaching and Learning and support with tasks such as meeting organization and various other administrative tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support with quarterly assessment reporting, report card maintenance, teacher schedule process
• Support annual testing needs
• Support daily, quarterly and end of year administrative tasks as need in our Middle Grades
• Support and take on projects as assigned by the Director of Teaching and Learning
• Act as back up to the Administrative Manager when she is not in the office
• Set up and organization of meetings and team events (weekly team meetings, team Professional Development days, etc.)
• Scheduling meetings/spaces on Microsoft Outlook as needed
• Maintain Team lists, signage, supplies in copy room and conference rooms
• Photocopy and printing support
• Various other administrative tasks

Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize time, prioritize tasks, work independently or collaboratively and accomplish tasks while maintaining accuracy despite frequent interruptions and changing priorities
• Experience in meeting planning, scheduling and organizing meetings
• Initiative to ensure project deadlines are met
• A commitment to and enthusiasm for our mission and to supporting the entire Team

Training and Experience:
• Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree or equivalent education and experience
• 1-3 years of experience in project management and support
• Experience in administrative settings/roles required
