THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

An ideal and highly qualified candidate will hold or be working toward a master’s degree in science education or a related field and will have completed a teacher preparation program and hold an appropriate teacher certification.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
• Ability to teach chemistry and biology (AP experience a plus)
• Ability to create, set up and run student labs
• Confidence to use technology throughout lessons and for assessments
• Willingness to investigate and put into practice Pre-AP biology curriculum
• Collegiality and willingness to bond with science department members in order to increase rigor and best practices in the science department
• Ability to use Google Classroom a plus
• Willingness to become involved in all aspects of the school, including extra-curricular activities
