Job Description

Uxbridge Public Schools is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist (Long Term Substitute) to provide related services in the area of Speech and Language in accordance with student Individual Education Programs, as well as special education student evaluations, to cover a maternity leave. Individual and small group therapy sessions will focus on established IEP goals. Consultation will be provided to educational teams including general education teachers to ensure full access to learning opportunities. Parent communication and engagement will support opportunities for progress monitoring of application and generalization of skills. The Speech and Language Pathologist will participate in the development of individual education programs, data collection, and completion of progress reports.

Planning and providing instruction both in the inclusion classroom setting and in small group/individual settings per the student’s IEP
Consulting and collaborating with general education staff and specialists
Developing IEP goals and objectives consistent with student IEPs and completing related documentation and paperwork in a timely manner
Administering and interpreting formal and informal assessments and preparing written evaluation reports
Collecting and analyzing student work samples and related data to monitor progress and identify skill gaps

    Job Requirements

    • Education and Experience:
      Commonwealth of Massachusetts licensure as an SLP
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
