2019 SPECIAL EDUCATION SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

ANTICIPATED PARAPROFESSIONALS
WINTERHILL COMMUNITY SCHOOLS, JOHN F. KENNEDY SCHOOL
&
CAPUANO EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER

Job Goal: The summer program has a variety of programs to meet the diverse needs of special education students. Flexible, collaborative, adaptive, team players should apply!

Requirements/ Responsibilities:
• CPI Trained
• Custodial care for students with severe emotional disabilities and developmental delays.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Moderate or severe Special Education certification
• Experience working with one or more of the following populations:
o Students with ASD
o Students with multiple disabilities
o Students with emotional impairments
o Students with cognitive impairments
o Students with multiple disabilities

Terms of Employment - 4 week Program
• Monday – Friday Schedule, 7:45am-1:30pm
• Start Date: July 1, 2019
• End Date: July 30, 2019
• Stipend $2,360

Terms of Employment- 5 week Program
• Monday – Friday Schedule, 7:45am-1:30pm
• Start Date: July 1, 2019
• End Date: August 6, 2019
• Stipend, $2,885

All Staff: There is a mandatory orientation day on June 6, 2019 (3:00pm-5:00pm) and a mandatory professional development/Set up day on June 28, 2019. The summer program will not be in session on July 4th and July 5th, 2019. Attendance each day is mandatory.

Disclosure: All positions listed are subject to funding availability and student enrollment; courses may be cancelled due to lack of enrollment.

Reports to: Director for Special Education Extended Year or designee
