This position involves working with some students either individually or in small groups as well as serving as a math coach for teachers and co-teaching/modeling for teachers in their classrooms. Work with students in a variety of grade levels and ages. Work individually or in small group on remedial mathematics, grades 5 to 7th. Must have knowledge and experience in differentiating instruction and matching the intervention to meet the individual needs of special education students. Needs to be able to collaborate and co-teach with staff. Consult on teaching strategies for special needs students. Needs a min.of 3-5 years experience teaching math to students within a classroom setting. Must have experience writing IEPs and a working knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks/CCSS.. Must have DESE certification in Moderate Special Needs or Math Teacher license. Position is for 4 or 5 days per week.

    Job Requirements

    • Experience with math remedial teaching strategies
      Working knowledge of CCSS
      good communication skills
      Strong organizational skills
      Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other specialists.
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
