Summer Program Site Coordinator

 

TITLE: Site Coordinator/Lead Teacher for Mary L. Fonseca Elementary School

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a valid Massachusetts teacher’s license

 

REPORTS TO: Program Director

 

JOB GOALS: to oversee the summer program at Fonseca

 

This summer, the Mary L. Fonseca Elementary School will host a summer program for students in incoming 2nd grade through 5th grade. This program is open only to eligible students from Fonseca. The five week summer academic/enrichment program will be held June 24-July 25, 2019, and will operate Monday –Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

 

The focus of the summer program will be on improving student achievement through academic support and project-based learning. The program will be supported with funds from the 21st CCLC grant.  

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • oversee implementation of the program and fidelity to grant requirements
  • maintain attendance records for teachers and students
  • collaborate with school leadership in order to deliver quality academics and enrichment activities
  • support engagement with parents/guardians and community partners
  • collect SAYOs (21st CCLC program) and other data as necessary
  • assist with staff orientation and professional development

 

SKILLS:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Be organized and able to multi-task
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience preferred in after school programming

 

 

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  $32/hour
