Job Description

The Learning Community, a vibrant public charter school located in Central Falls, RI, seeks an Upper Elementary Math Teacher to join our team. We seek a dynamic educator who wants to be part of an amazing math community that is using the latest instructional strategies and continuously refining their craft. Candidates should be comfortable with small group math instruction, planning math lessons using a wealth of resources and receiving regular feedback. In this position, you would also work with a team to teach about issues of social justice to support students in using their voices and taking social action. This position is a phenomenal learning opportunity to join one of the region’s most successful, high poverty schools. Candidates must be certified in elementary education or secondary math.

TEACHERS: We seek creative, energetic teachers who are familiar with, or open to learning a Workshop structure institutional approach, who work collaboratively and plan thoughtfully, and who are interested in being part of a close-knit school community with opportunities for growth. Our rigorous curriculum emphasizes literacy and numeracy as a leadership tool to grow student independence and voice. Our teachers enjoy tremendous autonomy, collaboration and leadership. All candidates must have teacher certification. Spanish language skills a plus.
