Job Description

Archbishop Williams High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory, Grade 7-12 School in Braintree, is seeking a Guidance Counselor to fill an expected maternity leave vacancy from March through the remainder of the 2018-2019 school year. We are seeking someone who can work in a highly collegial, student entered environment and serve a caseload of approximately 170 students.

The primary responsibilities of this position will be to:
• Monitor all aspects of academics for students in grades 9-12
• Complete Course Selection process for students in grades 9-11
• Monitor student academic progress and provide intervention strategies as needed
• Assign students to Academic Probation as necessary
• Collaborate and meet with teachers, administration, parents
• Obtain a list of students requiring Summer School and assist student/parents in finding appropriate summer school placement
• Teach a daily small group Junior Guidance class
• Assist seniors with making a final college decision
• Attend Junior Parents Night in March
• Assist with College Fair in April
• Attend Sophomore Parents Night in May
• Proctors SATs and AP Exams in May
