Job Description

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an educational recruitment firm, is currently seeking experienced History Teachers to fill positions at the K-12 private and independent schools we work with across the country. History and social studies teachers for all grade levels are needed.

Responsibilities of the History Teacher:

-Develop and organize a history curriculum for the grade/s assigned that meets school standards.
-Establish standards of student performance which can be quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated.
-Develop knowledge and skills essential to effectively teach students in the grade assigned.
-Promote students' critical and creative thinking and analysis and develop lesson plans and instructional materials.
-Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question and investigate.

  • Job Requirements

    • -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History REQUIRED
      -Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the K-12 level
      -Interest to contribute to school community outside of the classroom as an athletic coach, student advisor, student club leader, or otherwise preferred
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Bachelor degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
