Job Description

Lynn Public Schools has an opening for a Long-Term Substitute Elementary Reading Teacher starting February 12,2019 through April 12, 2019.  


Job Description:  

Collaborate with other Reading Teachers to create common assessments, plan lessons, and analyze data and development re-teaching strategies.  Knowledge of Common Core ELA Standards with a focus on Reading Literature and Reading information strands.  Collect and use data to differentiate instruction based on student reading levels.  Embed motivation strategies that promote student engagement.  Expose students to increasingly rigorous and complex texts at each grade level.  Develop reading comprehensin skills through reading strategies.


Job Requirements:  

All candidates must hold a Massachusetts teaching license in Reading (All Levels) to be considered for this position.  At least three (3) years of relevant experience is preferred.  Masters degree preferred.
