Job Description

The Sterling Center YMCA is seeking a full-time Coordinator to support After-school and Adventure programming. The incumbent will be responsible for the general supervision and management of an after-school site with approximately 60-90 children grades K-8 and lead Adventure. During out of school hours, the Coordinator will incorporate and lead youth and family Adventure programming activities into the Y’s calendar of events. During the summer, the Coordinator will lead Adventure Summer Camp, including scheduling high and low rope Adventure courses to be used by approximately 200 youth campers daily. The key accountabilities in this role include but are not limited to: Scheduling and supervising staff, maintaining facility equipment, upkeep and storage, communicating with families, implementing program schedules, and working directly with youth to ensure quality after-school and camp experiences.

- Must be at least 20 years old
- Associates or bachelors degree preferred
- Must meet EEC qualifications of a Site Coordinator and have a minimum of 1 year of previous experience working with school aged children in a program setting
- Previous Summer Camp experience preferred
- Must be certified in equipment safety, belaying, zip line usage and other Adventure elements.
