Job Description

Our Lady’s Academy seeks an experienced middle school math teacher to join a collaborative team for a short term maternity leave from March 4th to March 29th

The teacher delivers and implements effective instruction and assesses student learning in accordance with the current curriculum and school goals. An ability to teach Algebra 1 is a requirement. The math program at the school uses Holt McDougal for the math curriculum. The candidate would be responsible for teaching a 7th grade math class, an advanced 7th grade math class that is currently following an 8th grade (Pre-Algebra curriculum), an 8th grade math class, and one Algebra 1 class. The teacher collaborates with other professionals and students' families to help students succeed.

The teacher should have an ability to use online grading methods, as the gradebook is electronic, homework is posted online nightly, and the student homework is done online each night.
