ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY FOR THE
2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

ANTICIPATED
Assistant District Coordinator of Summer Programs
DISTRICT WIDE

Job Goal: The Assistant District Coordinator of Somerville Summer Programs will work under the Coordinator’s supervision to support all district summer programs in Somerville.

Responsibilities:
• Assist program directors in daily oversight of their program operations including student safety and security.
• Oversee implementation of a common attendance reporting system for all summer programs.
• Assist in implementation common safety protocols in collaboration with District administrators the Summer
• Program Coordinator and program directors in collaboration with the Program Coordinator, visit program sites regularly to monitor programs.
• Assist Coordinator of Summer Programs and program directors to implement building security and emergency procedures, including field trip protocols.
• Provide back-up for program directors in emergency situations.
• Provide substitute coverage in the case of a director’s unexpected absence.
• Provide support for program directors regarding resources needed for effective program delivery, including space and technology needs.
• Assist Coordinator and program Directors to maintain accurate student records that can be accessed by all staff as needed.
• Assist Coordinator in development of final report.

Requirement:
• Summer School session: must be available for on-site support for the summer session.

Qualifications:
• Current Somerville staff with at least five years teaching experience.
• Summer Program leadership experience preferred.

Stipend: $4000
