Job Description

POSITION: Temporary Long-Term Substitute Social Studies Teacher


LOCATION: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School


EFFECTIVE: Immediately, with a duration of approximately 6 weeks

RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a Temporary Long-Term Substitute position. Teaching five 8th grade World History classes. Teaching one Directed Seminar Class. Appropriate classroom management skills. As per teachers’ contract. To promote the learning and growth of all students and create a safe and effective classroom environment with cultural proficiency.


SALARY: $75 per day for first 10 days; after 10 consecutive days per collective bargaining agreement between the DYRSD and DYEA

    Job Requirements

    • QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate MA DESE licensure in appropriate field. Preferred 8th grade Social Studies certified, experience teaching civics.

      CORI and fingerprinting background check required.
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
