Special Education Paraprofessional

We are currently looking for individuals to work with children in school setting. These are full time opportunities available during normal school hours Monday-Friday. You will be working with children with autism, learning/mental disabilities, doing academic support, emotional support, and behavioral redirection. The population you will be working with will require you to have patience and understanding for those with disabilities. Our kids are looking for positive role models in their life. If you feel you are ready to make a difference, then this is the opportunity for you!

Pay: $11-$13 an hour



Requirements:

Experience working in the field preferred

Fingerprint clearance card

CPR /First Aid

Diploma or GED



Skills and Requirements

· 6 months of classroom experience or similar professional setting.

· 6 months of experience working with special education, autism, behavioral health, and other forms of special needs children and adult educational settings.

· A passion for serving special needs and typically-developing children

· The ability to have patience and understanding for those with disabilities

· Follow instructions of teachers, support staff, and behavioral coaches for multiple fields in the special needs classrooms.

· Ability to learn new skills, flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of tasks.

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents and staff members.

· Is self-directed, and works without direct supervision.

    Job Requirements
