TITLE: Clinical Director

DEPARTMENT: Clinical

FLSA: Exempt

REPORTS TO: Clinical Program Director

JOB PURPOSE: Hopeful Journeys is a private, 766 Massachusetts Approved Special Education school designed to meet the academic, social and behavioral needs of children ages 3 to 22. Hopeful Journeys is a full year, 216 day program, which provides 1:1 instructional teaching for children with autism and other developmental disorders. Clinical Director will join our management team in ensuring HJEC provides high quality clinical and educational programming to the students. A primary focus of the Clinical Director position is to ensure students are making effective progress, to provide effective staff training, staff supervision and to monitor development of programs for students with challenging behaviors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESULTS:

• Work with the Clinical Team to oversee develop student objectives in the area of behavior, independent living, vocational skills
and social skills.
• Participate in weekly clinical meetings & peer reviews with Clinical Team.
• Ensure students are making continuous progress in the area of behavior, social, independent living, and vocational domains and
monitor student outcome data.
• Assist in the development & implementation of on-going staff training and orientation plans.
• Serve as final reader for student progress reports
• Analyze protective measure utility and effectiveness – ensuring adequate fading plans are in place and that all protective
measures are least-restrictive and appropriate
• Assess and modify inadequate/inaccurate data collection systems
• Oversee Clinical Assessments such as FBA’s, VB-MAPS, ABLLS
• Ensure continuous collaboration between Speech, OT and BCBA staff.
• Attend leadership trainings/conferences in order to stay up-to-date with latest research
• Provide leadership training to Futures’ supervision team and develop new training ideas
• Conduct parent trainings
• Assist in problem solving student, parent and staff concerns and issues.
• Ensure behavioral strategies are implemented consistently and accurately across clinical systems in all settings and that staff
demonstrate proficiency in Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including educational staff and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality
implementation of evidence-based practices
• Assist in initial student transition and parent communication regarding clinical programming
• Any other duties as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Must have a Master’s degree & BCBA. Doctorate degree or is currently enrolled in a Doctoral program for Behavior Analysis (at least 2 semesters & minimum of 4 courses completed with transcripts that show successful completion) preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Worked as a BCBA for a minimum of 5 years and experience with management of BCBA’s and working with children with intensive challenging behaviors for a minimum of 2 years.

decision making.
• Effective administrative and management skills.
• Excellent speaking and writing skills, including the effective utilization of computers, technology, and information management
tools.
• High Quality clinical skills

Salary: $80,000 to $95,000 depending on experience/education. Generous PTO policy and benefits.
