Job Description

Crossroads School, in Marlborough, MA is a private, nonprofit school dedicated to transforming the lives of children with autism using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We are currently seeking to hire an ABA Teacher responsible for teaching students in the school and in homes using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The ABA Teacher works under the supervision of a Lead Special Education Teacher as a direct care provider responsible for helping students achieve the goals and objectives outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Behavior Management Guidelines (BMGs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and Treatment Plans. The ABA Teacher also serves as the Case Manager for one student and is responsible for helping to design and modify curriculum, building materials to support the curriculum, and using the curriculum and materials to teach new skills.

Responsibilities:
• Implement behavior analytic teaching procedures.
• Record, summarize, and graph data as specified in IEPs, BIPs, BMGs, and Insurance Treatment Plans.
• Implement 1:1 and small-group instruction including leading academic and social skills groups.
• Maintain case student’s program book per guidelines.
• Ensure skills generalize to other people, settings, and time.
• Teach appropriate functional alternatives to challenging behavior.
• Update curriculum sheets, data sheets and Behavior Management Guidelines
• Maintain case students’ electronic files per guidelines.
• Construct Student Day packets
• Update staff on case student’s progress, program changes, and follow-up from Student Day Meetings.
• Assist the Lead Special Education Teacher in curriculum development and modification.
• Write quarterly progress reports for case students per protocol.
• Work up to 4 hours week on a Home Services case.
• Provides parent/family training for Home Services students.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Behavior Analysis, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must have good organizational skills coupled with interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, be eager to learn new skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office products, punctuality, compassion, ability to prioritize and multitask, and maintain strict confidentiality of information.
