Job Description

Nationally recognized, highly successful, mission driven Charter School is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic educator to fill a Full Time, permanent Inclusion teacher position servicing elementary grades. This teacher will provide support services to students in an inclusion setting as well as direct services out of the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have earned a BA/BS in Special education or a related field (required) or Master’s Degree in Special education or related field; will be familiar with the BFCCPS mission, as well as be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:

1. Develop and implement programs for students on IEPs and collaborate with members of the BFCCPS faculty and staff to ensure faithful implementation of federal and state Special Education regulations
2. Collaborate with general education teachers in planning, delivering and assessment of instruction
3. Serve as a resource to general education teachers on learning differences and accommodations
4. Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans.
5. Plan and provide direct small group instruction
6. Conduct assessments and formal evaluations of students
7. Communicate with parents, administrators and staff on the performance and progress of students
8. Engage in ongoing learning and professional development
9. Perform other duties as my be required by the BFCCPS school community
