Job Description

To prepare students attractive and nutritious meals in accordance with the USDA Federal Regulations. Maintains a high standard to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction. Maintains a sanitary and orderly kitchen. Works collaboratively with asst. cook and cafeteria assistants to provide quality, consistent meals in accordance with the National School Lunch Program. Performs tasks related to purchasing & receiving products & supplies, preparation of food, holding meals, packaging meals & assists serving food as needed. Follows HAACP & Food Safety Codes. Performs all other deemed necessary by the Food Service Director.

    Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED
      At least 3 years experience of working in a cafeteria setting or equivalent work experience.
      Knowledge of commercial cooking and the ability to use commercial kitchen equipment
      Ability to comply with nutrition, health and safety regulations
      Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts
      Serve safe certified preferred
      Computer literate
      Approved C.O.R.I.
      Complies with a drug-free workplace
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
    • High School/Trade School degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
