Job Description

Athol-Royalston Middle School, serving students in grades 5-8, is seeking applicants for an anticipated reading and/or special education teacher. The position would involve supporting the school's literacy and intervention efforts by providing reading instruction to targeted students, as well as working to support the needs of special education students in the classroom setting.

    Job Requirements

    • The school seeks candidates who hold a Massachusetts certification in special education and/or reading at the middle school level, have experience working with middle school students, are team-minded, and are committed to the school’s core values of perseverance, integrity, and respect.

      Additionally, the school seeks applicants who have experience addressing the school’s instructional focus areas: rigorous standards-based unit design, well-structured lessons, adjustments to practice, student engagement, and the utilization of writing.
    • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
    • Bachelor degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
