We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant who will be assigned to a specific student within a classroom setting.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Location: Concord, Ma

Reports to: Education Manager

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
•Provide direct instruction and support to students in the areas of academics, social skills, self-care (ADLs), and vocational tasks
•Teach generalization in skill development and community integration
•Assist in behavioral interventions/and able to perform C.P.I. (full restraint training provided)
•Function as a member of the AM Team (helping or monitor student with their morning routine)
•Transport students to and from school as assigned
•Provide supervision/monitoring of students during breaks, lunches, community trips and other times as assigned/necessary, including covering for absent members of teaching staff
•Provide positive and appropriate role models for students at all times and treat students with the respect due them as individual members of the community
•Maintain the neatness and order of the classroom, and other related student program areas
•Control student work flow and work quality

    Job Requirements

    • Qualifications :
      •Training or experience teaching skills to a population similar to that of the Learning Center preferred.
      •Training or experience in behavior management techniques preferred.
      •Willingness to acquire related job skills through participation in external and in-service training/evaluation, including working flexible hours to accomplish this.
      •Physical capacity and emotional maturity to work in potentially stressful situations.
      •Capacity to take supervision and to function as an effective team member.
      •Valid Driver's license.
      •Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
    • Bachelor degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
