Job Description

The South Shore Charter Public School seeks to fill a part time (20% FTE) Advanced Placement Computer Science Teacher position for the 2018-2019 academic year. At SSCPS, teachers are called on to model independent thinking, problem-solving, and creative collaboration. To thrive at SSCPS, you should be prepared to work with other teachers who are well-grounded in their subject matter and willing to be involved in out-of-class activities while supervising students. In facilitating discussions, teachers here are eager to help students formulate their own conclusions rather than lead students to uncover the teacher’s conclusion. Teachers here invite students to take initiative in group work or projects by creating an atmosphere stimulating enough to inspire them and supportive enough for them to recognize learning opportunities from their own mistakes and errors.
