Job Description

This position is for a .5 FTE District-Wide Elementary Math Interventionist/Coach starting with the 2018-2019 school year.

CERTIFICATION:
•    Certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as an Elementary Education Teacher with corresponding grade level/developmental level.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
•    Successful teaching or practicum experience at appropriate level.
•    Ability to relate to elementary level students.
•    Ability to cultivate and maintain a positive, productive learning environment.
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relationships.
•    Ability to contribute to learning in a team environment.
•    Ability to diagnose and support learners struggling with math development.
•    Demonstrated strength in collaboration.
•    High capacity for student advocacy in an inclusive environment, including knowledge/experience of best practices for adolescent interventions, motivation, assessment, grading, and homework.
•    Knowledge of content/math practices, professional learning communities, and Common Core State Standards.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate a team of teachers to reflect upon and improve practices.
