  • Welcome to Blackstone Millville Regional High School!

BLACKSTONE-MILLVILLE REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL is a public, comprehensive school with grades nine through twelve. It is accredited by the New England Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the Massachusetts Department of Education.

THE COMMUNITIES of Blackstone and Millville are located approximately forty-five miles southwest of Boston and twenty miles north of Providence, Rhode Island. Both are primarily residential communities with a combined number of approximately 11,000 residents.

THE TOTAL HIGH SCHOOL ENROLLMENT is 576 students, with 103 being seniors. From the graduating class of 2005, 51% enrolled in a four-year college, 38% enrolled in a two-year college program, 5% planned to attend a technical school and 6% joined the work force. The average combined SAT scores of the class of 2005 was 1003. For the last three years, BMR has been one of the few schools across the state to have 100% of the seniors achieve competency in the MCAS test.

Students are required to complete 24 credits of class work for graduation with a minimum-passing grade of 65 on a scale of 100. A class that meets five days a week for the full year receives one full credit. These classes are weighted for the purpose of class rank with college prep courses weighted at 1.0, advanced classes at 1.1 and the honors/advanced placement courses weighted at 1.2. Among the required 24 credits for graduation, students must successfully complete four years of English, three years of math, three years of science, three years of history, 2 years of foreign language, 1 year of technology and a physical education/health requirement.

THE ATTENDANCE POLICY states that students who are absent unexcused, more than five times in a quarter will receive an administrative grade of no more than a 50.

THE WRITTEN DISCIPLINE CODE is clear, concise, published in the student and faculty handbooks and also mailed home to the parents of the students. Learn more about us...
