Job Description

Hill View Montessori Charter Public School, a free public Montessori school serving 305 students in grades K-8 located in historic Haverhill, Massachusetts (35 miles north of Boston on the New Hampshire border and about 17 miles from the Atlantic Ocean), is seeking two Instructional Assistants/Classroom Assistants for our Lower Elementary (mixed ages/grades 1-3) and Upper Elementary (mixed ages/grades 4-6) classrooms.

These are both full-time positions and can be fantastic stepping-stone opportunities to future professional opportunities at Hill View Montessori. (Several of our current classroom Lead Teachers began as Instructional Assistants/Classrooms Assistants at HVM and then gained experience and received formal training in the Montessori education philosophy, pedagogy, and curriculum.)

Instructional Assistants/Classroom Assistants support the Lead Teacher, prepare and maintain the academic and social environment, and assist children while the Lead Teacher is giving lessons. Other responsibilities are determined by the Lead Teacher. Experience working in a Massachusetts public school is also a plus!
