  • Proctor students as necessary during state testing;
  • Attend all GCVS professional development workshops;
  • Work closely with the 6-8 team of teachers to increase academic engagement;
  • Participate in home visits with another staff person (teacher, nurse or specialist) to increase engagement and gather more information to help with engagement;
  • Plan and implement “meet-ups,” where students and families and teachers gather in person (e.g., Bright Beginnings orientation, field trips with an academic focus, school picnics) approximately once a month;
  • Respond as soon as possible but no later than 24 hours to parent, student, teacher and admin inquiries via phone and/or e-mail during regular work week

A bachelor's degree in education or related field is required. Masters degree preferred.  Massachusetts licensure as a School Adjustment Counselor is required.
