Job Description

The Academic Support teacher will work closely with the School’s 5th and 6th grade teaching team and resource team.
The teacher will be responsible for teaching students with moderate learning disabilities and executive function challenges, particularly in effectively differentiating writing skill methods.
The teacher should be familiar with the developmental needs of 5th and 6th graders.
The position includes both classroom inclusion and one-on-one teaching.
This position requires a high level of communication with classroom teachers.

Additional Detail re: Scope of Work
Classroom teaching, lesson planning, classroom preparation and related activities.
Participating in parent conferences as needed.
Communicating with parents in a timely manner.
Attending Child Study meetings as needed.
Other duties and activities as needed to accomplish the educational goals of FSS.

Hours: 22.5
