Job Description

Medway Public Schools is currently hiring a Program Coordinator for the Community Education Department. This role will be responsible for overseeing the development and facilitation of extended day programming (before and after school) to address targeted academic, social, and emotional needs within our PK-12 school community. The successful candidate will have vision, extensive organizational and communication skills, be a self starter, and have aspirations for a leadership and management role. Financial and program development acumen is essential for this exciting, new role. 1. Three years of experience in field of community education or education.
2. Bachelor's degree.
3. Computer knowledge in publication and design and knowledge of database systems.
4. Ability to maintain confidentiality
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively.
6. Demonstrates independent judgment and initiative
7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the superintendent and/or community education administrator may find
appropriate and acceptable


The duties in this position will include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Assists in the production and preparation of the quarterly brochure.

2. Works in close collaboration with instructors and school staff.

3. Checks and reports on on-going classes.

4. Researches new and varied programs to meet current needs.

5. Plans and implements early release day trips.

6. Performs other duties as directed by the Superintendent and/or administrator of the community education department.
