Job Description

Cathedral 7-12 High School seeks a student-centered athletic director. The ideal candidate for the position is familiar with high school level sports management, and has experience working with young people, program development, and managing others. Cathedral High School athletics are members of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Catholic Central League (CCL).


To effectively provide student-centered athletic program to scholar-athletes. Lead and mentor them to be both champions on the athletic field as well as in the classroom.
To collaborate with and supervise coaches of 13+ sports teams for grades 7-12, coordinate games, officiants, league participation, and athletic community partners.
Manage and produce sports schedules, team rosters, forms, and manage related athletics documents and lists.


Supervise all Cathedral student athletic programs.
Supervise and coordinate coaching staff.
Attend faculty and staff meetings to support student outcomes.


Experience managing school athletic programs
Experience working with urban youth
Experience in leadership and program development
Speaks another language

REPORTS TO: Head of School
SUPERVISES: Coaching staff
START DATE: Immediate
SALARY: Negotiated based upon experience
