Job Description

Braintree Elementary School is seeking a primary grade 2-3 teacher. Applicants should embrace a co-teaching environment, have a positive mindset and share a commitment to the success of every child. Braintree is committed to professional learning communities with Randolph and Brookfield Schools, sharing professional development, curriculum/assessment design and implementation, and shared leadership in a district-wide Multi-tiered Systems of Support model. Our teachers use Responsive Classroom methods along with PBIS to teach students about expected behaviors in order to support social and emotional growth in our children.

Braintree Elementary is a small rural school with the stable and innovative Orange Southwest School District. It is a short drive to the state capital of Montpelier and just an hour from the lakeside jewel of Burlington and the University of Vermont. Working in a small school is a rewarding experience and requires a collaborative and flexible staff. We pride ourselves on our emphasis on science and hands on approaches to learning along with teaching children to be kind and responsible citizens.
