Job Description

Headwaters School, a Pre-K through grade 12 independent day school serving 540 students across its three campuses in Austin, TX, is seeking a Part-time IT Helpdesk Specialist.

 

At Headwaters, our esteemed Faculty are responsible for fostering a positive environment of learning that responds to the particular needs of each child and classroom environment; helping each student to develop identity formation, to live authentically, to think expansively and to create bravely.  

 

The IT Helpdesk Specialist assists our Director of Technology.

 

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide Mac and PC tech support for administration, faculty, staff and students
  • Troubleshoot problems relating to hardware and software
  • Provision accounts for new users/terminated users as well as password administration
  • Assist in ensuring data integrity across all systems and databases
  • Assist in the integration of technology across the K-12 curriculum
  • Assist in maintaining the school's IT inventory
  • Make recommendations on ways for our school to remain technologically current
  • Enforce company IT standards and IT policies

 

Job Qualifications

  • Professional experience in Helpdesk or IT related support, required
  • BA/BS Degree preferred
  • A passion for helping others
  • Friendly disposition and excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Google suite preferred
  • Ability to identify the root cause of issues, develop solutions, and recommend appropriate actions

 

This is a part-time, 12-month non-exempt position and salary is competitive for the greater Austin area.
