Lead Teacher, Preschool Program

The Lead Teacher plans and implements learning experiences that advance the spiritual, linguistic, intellectual, emotional, social and physical development of children within a safe, nurturing, and healthy classroom environment. The Lead Teacher encourages the involvement of families in the program and supports the school's mission.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in early childhood education or a related field.
    • Department of Children and Families Child Care Training (45 Hours; Part I and Part II completed; to include 5 Hours Early Literacy)
    • One (3) or more years experience working in early childhood
    • Ability to attain Level 2 Background Screening clearance
    • CPR/First Aid Certified
    • Excellent communication skills; oral and written.
    • Ability to write lesson plans with objectives tied to Florida Early Learning Standards
    • Ability to write weekly newsletters to communicate effectively the class' weekly activities/studies with parents
    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs; sit on the floor; get down to children's eye level.
    • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality relating to children, families, staff, and school issues while performing duties, as well as outside of the school.
    • Experience using or knowledge of HighScope and/or Opening the World of Learning (OWL) curriculums favorable, but not required.
    • At least 3 year s of relevant experience preferred
    • Bachelor degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency OR WORK VISA IN United States required
