Job Description

Marlboro School District is a rural school found in Southern Vermont serving about 90 students in grades PK-8. It has a longstanding tradition of providing a progressive authentic learning environment. Our mission is to support students in developing their creative abilities and learning the skills needed to live and work with others. The school strives to provide an environment in which children can experience success and develop their feeling of self-worth. Along with these creative accomplishments, we provide instruction in the basic skills necessary to succeed in our changing world. All this is done in an atmosphere characterized by the joy of learning.

We are seeking a Vermont Licensed visual arts teachers for grades K-8th, it is a 0.20 FTE.

We are looking for a candidate who has the following strengths and interests:
  • Passionate artist who enjoys sharing personal interests with students.
  • Excited by the opportunity to collaborate with classroom teachers
  • Enjoys working with very young children to early teenagers.
  • Experience with showing student work within the community
  • Fosters an appreciation of the arts
  • Use a variety of assessments to inform instruction
  • Has the ability to differentiate lessons and support student’s interests and abilities.
