Job Description

Block Island is a resort community located 12 miles from mainland Rhode Island and is accessible via ferry or plane. The island has a year-round population of approximately 900; however, the summer population swells to more than 15,000. Because of the island's remote location and size, there is a close, reciprocal relationship with the community, which enhances the curriculum and the students' academic experience. One K-12 school services approximately 120 students, 47 teachers and support staff, and has an annual budget of $5.1 million. Other administrators include a full-time K-12 principal, a part-time K-12 principal, and a part-time special education director.
