Position Type: Per Diem

The Classroom Behavior Specialist (CBS) functions as a teacher assistant in one of out special education self-contained classrooms and provides direct care, behavior management, and support for social emotional skill development. We have flexibility when scheduling hours for per diem CBSs with some per diems working every school day with other working few days per week.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Education or a related human service field is preferred. Candidates without a Bachelor’s Degree may be considered for the position if they meet criteria to apply for and obtain certification as a Teacher’s Assistant and have relevant experience with populations served within the Bradley Schools.

      Basic knowledge of word processing and data entry/management programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel) is preferred. For those without this background upon hire, Excel training will be required and provided.

      Requires demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to school-aged youth, with consideration of developmental processes, as well as cultural, familial, and individual factors that may influence educational functioning and progress.

      Prefer candidates with experience working with children and/or adolescents within an educational and/or therapeutic setting.
