REPORTS TO: Building Administrator
• High school diploma
• Typing & word processing skills of 45+ words per minute
• Basic bookkeeping and accounting skills
• Ability to relate well with students, staff, parents, and community members
• Skill in office management & coordination
• Ability to operate office machines
• Ability to handle pressure/stress and ambiguity; ability to hold confidences
Types correspondence, including reports, manuals, requisitions, orders, memos, etc. Works extensively in receiving, welcoming, referring, and communicating with parents, students, community members, and school district personnel. Maintains a regular and confidential filing system. Places and receives telephone calls and maintains a schedule of appointments. Answers doorbell and switchboard in switchboard operator’s absence. Performs bookkeeping tasks & assists in the budget development. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal and/or associate principal. Performs varied related office duties associated with a busy, hectic, productive, and smoothly-run environment.
Moving throughout the work location; lifting 10-20 lbs.; hand/finger dexterity; eye/hand coordination; above-average time pressure; intensity and analytical thinking due to multiple, unrelated demands on time and attention; verbal and written communication.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a 12 month, 8 hour/day position.
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Office Personnel.
