Job Description

We are looking for TWO full time K-5 Multi-Age Teachers to co-teach to start in the 2018-19 school year.

Curriculum and Instruction Qualifications:

Self-paced mastery: students develop independent strategies and goals for managing their learning, time and tasks, while mastering skills in core areas using e-learning tools where applicable

Project based learning: integrates subject areas into meaningful, authentic projects with real world purpose and meaning in a student-centered environment

Multi-age collaboration and learning K-5: fostering peer support and leveraging the business community relationships and experiential learning

Provide choice and input of student learning

Integrates a wide range of technology tools to enhance learning

Thrives in an active learning environment

Values the whole child’s development (social & emotional learning)

Encourages learner’s curiosity problem solving skills

Certification and Qualification Requirements:
  • Certified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as an Elementary Teacher. Candidates with a strong reading background (or licensed as reading teacher) preferred.
  • A minimum of three years successful teaching.
  • Experience in a project based and/or multi-age learning environment preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers, parents, Director of Elementary and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Learning, and the general public.
  • Must be willing to participate in in-service activities promoted by the district.
